    Mini Trip Report

Just moved from the beach to the cliffs.. already kind of a blur..

Got in Saturday at Charela - has become our fav beach spot in recent years. The food is a little more hit or miss than it used to be, but really nice folks and location. Walked across the street for Best in the West for a snack. Hadn't realized it was IN and not OF the West until this trip, even though we have eaten there many times. Great, cheap food. Awesome sunset. We walked to Italian Cafe for a late dinner. We napped, hoping it would help us rally for Bounty Killer, but it just wasn't going to happen after travel. Nor the paint bacchanal party in the park LOL.

Walked the next day to Shamrock for fresh OJ... they were out.. ugh..
Quiet doesn't describe things.. got the whole town to ourselves. Except the traffic on the sidewalk.

Walking the next night to Sunrise for dinner, a guy walked past wearing a lot of cologne on. It made me think of "Money" Cologne, and I said something about it, strange to have been here a few days and not have seen him around. Less than 20 seconds later, he pulls up in his car and gets out to say hi.

Looking at the Ocean from the balcony at Catcha now.. mid way thru the trip.. so nice to be here.. I love Negril when it is bustling, but it is nice when it is all to ourselves too. Still in search of fresh OJ.. will take a walk and see Ras Rody later today.. I'd say I didn't have time to figure out how to get the photos rotated, but I think we all know that's not true haha.

Ah sounds very nice. Counting the days, here - arriving Negril Sunday, July 2. Staying on the beach all six days but am considering a few cliff days. Catcha sounds nice - peaceful and sunsets-not-to-be-beaten. Any suggestions on splitting a six-day trip between beach and cliffs?
Haven't been to JA in nine long years. Happy to hear that it will be a quiet, off-season atmosphere, actually.
Dinner at Ivan's is on the schedule, possibly also at Rockhouse. That's about all the plans, so far...

Continue walking past Ras Rody and stop at Ally's Little Sandwhich Hut, just across from Negril Escape. He will whip up some fresh OJ (and whatever other juice you want) right in front of you.

    Thanks for the update!

9 years oh my. Used to like Firefly but when the family sold and the new management got rid of nude friendly, it lost its charm.

Split between Charela and Rockhouse or Catcha is hard to beat.

We found our friend Trevor aka Redskin last night. We figured he would be around somewhere, but with De Bar being closed for the season, we werent sure where. He is at Ahbees old place, rip. What a great guy.

Going to visit with Trevor and crew tonight. It was dark and i was feeling no pain last night, looked like Irie Vibes maybe? We'll scope it.

De Bar is closed for the season? I guess now that Trevor and Miquel are working at Kool Vybes, that is the place to be!

BTW, txraider - Did you ever find any OJ?
