    Vincent Ford

So under the category of "I never knew", I read recently that Bob Marley dedicated all the royalties from the song No Woman, No Cry to Vincent Ford who runs a soup kitchen in Jamaica. Is this true, and where is this kitchen? Love to drop by and meet the man if he's still around.Name: 18698316_701339403408311_5898058666296111201_n.jpg

I've heard/read this from several sources over the years. Believe he passed away a while back.

Saw "Tartar" Ford twice on visits to Trenchtown with my best friend Marshall around 2003 to 2005 (I believe). He was in a wheelchair due to having lost both his legs. We saw him both times outside Culture Yard telling stories and laughing with some youth. I understand he had a soup kitchen somewhere around there but never saw it. I think he might have closed it by then. Marshall knew him quite well having grown up in that area.

Once again a day late and a dollar short. Nice story though, people taking care of people that matter.
