    Re: airfare compare

I book arrival and departure flights separately and I guess it helps dampen the shock. I spend what I think is reasonable per flight. For my upcoming trip I booked nonstop for less than a one stop and paid less. For that I'll pay a little more than last year rather than waiting to see if ether will go down!

ETA: anyone who can afford to chose Delta is richer than me! I was forced to fly them this past summer and it HURT! Very very nice flight and in flight experience but honestly, they want almost 4 times as much as JetBlue for my same flight! Ridiculous!

We can't do Jet Blue. I wish we could. I hate flying Delta, every time we have we have been delayed in Atlanta. We prefer Southwest. We connect through Orlando. Their rates were up $250 per person this yr. I would love to have a nonstop option. With paying baggage fees Delta was cheapest this yr.

We only fly Delta because of the points. I'm getting 3 tickets for a little over 400 US thanks to a LOT of home improvement done this summer and SkyMiles bonuses. I don't particularly care for Atlanta, as we usually are also delayed. However, for this price, I'll suck it up!

At least when my hubs retires we can play around with our dates. Maybe even drive to another airport.

We fly out of Lincoln in Feb. for about $550. Likkle more $ but we don't have to stay in Omaha overnight and pay for vehicle storage.

All of the airlines have lost their collective minds. I'm a big guy, and fly first just for the comfort of myself, and those around me. We paid ~$2600 at the early part of the year for our tickets. I wanted to add three days to the front end of the trip, and contacted American to make the change. With the change fee ($400, fully expected -- and a charge I was willing to pay) the additional cost was another $2100. Essentially, the prices are almost double what they were when I booked. Their logic was that my return flight (the one I'm already booked on and not changing) was crowded, so the fee was higher.

I won't be adding any days to the trip this year!
