    January 2018

My husband and I are coming to Negril in January 2018 for the first time. I am enjoying reading all the places to go and things to do. We are staying at coco Lapalm - any advice or top things to do for first timers?? I’ve seen several different roll calls but not for January

Lets get one started then. January 27 to March 3, Rooms on the Beach. As far as advice, do not get sun burnt, hang around those palms on your beach for the first few days.
If you are worried about something, do something about it. If there is nothing you can do, why worry!

Go slow, don't try to see it all in one visit. Once you have been you will go again so relax and search for the bottom of your glass for the first few days in the shade as Stoners6 suggests.

Well off the Top of my head, the Red Stripe Catamaran tour comes highly recommended by alot of Boardies. I'd also recommend tracking down Capt Moses (he's usually down by the Grand Pineapple/Alfreds) for his glass bottom boat snorkeling tour and Booby Cay lobster fest that I took my first time daughters & grandson on last year.

Ask your bartender where the live music is and check out a live show. Usually Alfreds, Bourbon Beach, Roots, or the Jungle. If it's further than you want to walk, take a red plate taxi. Agree on the fare before you get in the car. Take a day trip and check out the cliffs on the west end. And like the other posters have said, take your time, enjoy the moment.

A nice free outing is the One Love Pub Crawl. Lenbert will drive you up into the Cliffs. Its a great introduction to the Cliffs area. He picks you up at your hotel and delivers you back home. Take plenty of small bills with you because a lot of the bars are really small. even if you don't drink much its a fun outing. Please leave a tip for Lenbert because he goes out of his way to show you a good time. its easiest to contact him by email.
