Someday I've got to make time to get over to St. Elizabeth. Many memories at the Estate

We had a blast the last time we visited. This renovation makes the perfect excuse for a return engagement!
We're all in this together and none of us is getting out alive.

How long a ride is it from Negril to the Appleton Estate?

I drink tons of Appleton rum but could never decide if the travel time to and from was really worth it. Are there any stops along the way that would help make it more worthwhile? To me it seems like it would be the better part of a day to visit.

Tuffgong...many people tour Appletons and continue on to YS Falls and/or Pelican Bar...sometimes Mayfield Falls etc.
I'm barely a rum drinker...one or two every few months or so...but I LOVED touring the rum factory...I found it very interesting and since you're a rum drinker, I would think you might enjoy it even more than I had.
I can't tell you how the "new" Appleton Rum factory is doing, but I would hope it's even better than the earlier years when I had visited.

We made a full day of YS Falls, Black River then Appleton (probably don't want to do YS Falls after Appleton)

If it's still the same, at the end of the tour they put you in a tasting room and it's all you care to sample.

How far is the Appleton Estate from Negril and would a tour operator be the best way to see it?
