hello, will be traveling to Port Antonio on feb15 after a stay in Negril. prefer not to take the bus and also prefer not to pay the 250 to 300 quoted so far. just two of us and a couple bags so assume a car rather than a van would work. anyone do a similar trip and get a less expensive price? thanks

More expensive option: fly TimAir and get amazing views of the beautiful island - Blue Mountains and the rolling hills off Falmouth are crazy. Once in a lifetime for us, but worth it.
Spanky...the bus or route taxi is going to be the cheapest option.
A private driver at $250-300us is a pretty good price...considering that driver might be on the road upwards of 10 hours...the driver has to come back more than likely, with an empty vehicle.
plane ride would be great i know .just don't want to spend that kind of money.
Bnewb when you mention a route taxi are you thinking just to head over to the taxi stand by the police station and ask around?

Definitely take the bus, you'll be surprised how much you see and you might just run into some wonderful people as well. Relax and enjoy the ride, after all you are in paradise!
just checked the price of a plane for two with tim air and airline both around 1000 !!

Comfort is the bus ... not a car with you driving lol. Let someone else do the work while you site see, read, snooze or just chill out.
