Charela is supposed to have the best, you can sample some at breakfast there. They sell loafs for about $15 US.

They serve excellent Banana bread with the meal.
(sneak in a likkle Rum cream in your coffee)

Marcia's Cakes at the Yellow Bird Bar has excellent cakes. Never tried her banana bread but based on her other cakes, it's probably very good. As a bonus you'll be directly supporting a local.

I love the ginger cake (bread) at Charela. Banana bread at Coco la Palm is delicious. Chill Awhile (Idle Awhile Beach) also has delicious banana bread.

We just returned from coco in December.
I tried their rum cake with Carmel sauce - it was really good.
Next time I will ask for extra sauce ��

Marcia’s cake are superb! You’ll need to place an order for her Rum cake. The best I’ve ever had. It is special.

Thanks all for some great recommendations! I have enjoyed those Tortuga Rum cakes but nothing beats a slice of homemade!
