What to do when it rains?

Ah. As much as the sun and surf draws me to the islands, the Jamaican afternoon deluge offers me a recharging that I have yet to reproduce. No spliffs, no alcohol... A hammock under cover, a good book and solitude, or the presence of an someone who understands the moment and appreciates the cleansing vibe. Watching hotel staff gathering in doorways enjoying a welcome respite. Listening to the changing patterns of raindrops with the rivers of accumulation falling from banana leaves. No where to be. Phone turned off. There is absolutely nothing that I have found like it and it is my moment. Thank you Jamaica!
