While I understand the feeling, there is a flip side.
Little Cesar's and Popeye's are next! Sav will be getting some competition! Applebee's is having enough trouble in the north, can't see them here.
And to be fair, Jamaicans', for the most part (think Kingston), are glad that these places exist. The franchises are all Jamaican owned, and they want to have options on where to go. During Dream Weekend, with all the influx of visitors around the island, Margaritaville and BK have been some of busiest businesses in town.
When nearly every meal you have since you have been born includes chicken and rice and peas, something different is nice.
After the high season is over, these businesses must rely on the locals to remain open. If the locals don't want these businesses to succeed, they won't. McDonald's was forced by economics to leave the island years ago...
If the people like it, allow them to exist. Remember that each of these franchises are Jamaican owned and employ Jamaican's, just as Negril.com has been doing.
Hopefully "Little Ochi" and "Pimentoz" will return the favor and set up a franchise near you soon!
