One Love Bus

My husband and I just returned from Negril. We did the One Love Bus for which was probably about our 6th or 7th time. This time we stopped at Lenbert's private home, where he has built a bar on his property. I believe it is for the One Love Bus only and not open to the locals. The entire 2 buses that stopped there ordered his wife's special rum punch at $5.00 a drink... Wondering where the proceeds go?

Are you asking...what does Lenbert's wife do with the money she made from the sale of the rum punch?
I would assume like any business...a business is run to pay the bills etc.

My wife and I have done the crawl a bunch of times also and the one thing I can tell you about her Rum Punch.....probably the best one we have had on the rock

Yes..I am sure Lenbert's insurance is free..gas is free...vehicle is free..his time..geez...when is it wrong for a person to make a living? The one love bus tour is a fun..affordable time..chance to see different places and meet new people..plus he is a great guy..I will pay 5$ for his rum punch all day long

Thank you for this reply. I'm so tired of people questioning Lenberts motives or profits. What other business is under this kind of microscope? Lenbert and Lattecha are amazing people. If you don't like them selling drinks, don't buy one. Just like Fargoman, I'll buy them all day long.

I have said it often, I think Lenbert's idea of this years ago was just brilliant.....what he chooses to do with his money is his decision. by the way, it is not required to buy a cocktail at every place.

I don't know about that, the original idea was to expose people to bars they may not get to on their own, I'm not sure a private bar at Lenbert's house qualifies. Between that and the frequent stops where there are begging kids, I'll pass.

saeyedoc, I totally agree with your statement about the begging kids....giving to them when they beg is wrong on so many levels, which I don't waste time arguing with folks about
anymore. However, one shouldn't be concerned about what anyone does with their money. No one is forced to go on the Love bus.

We first went to a very poor area where there was a very small bar/store and a lot of children begging....then onto Lenbert's beautiful, newly built house, where his shinny BMW was in the driveway. All 60 to 70 people on the two busses this one day bought a rum punch from his private, newly built bar.....
The icing on the cake was at the end of the "tour" Lenbert came on our bus (different bus driver)....trying to make sure he was heard by yelling Tourist....Tourist .....very loudly...asking for 'tips'...One person said they wanted to tip the bus driver directly...where he replied tip me first...
This will be our last trip on the One 'LOVE' bus.

Borntobeach...are you offended that Lenbert's making money from the pub crawl? I don't think it's any different than any other business person becoming successful.
