Re: What's with the white rental speedboats ??

I am posting this from Island Lux. Their boats here are not white and the most they have rented in one day so far has been two. Here is a picture taken moments ago:

As you can see, there is no way that you can mistake them for the white, two seater boat in the picture in a previous post. Island Lux most certainly has absolutely nothing to do with this situation. Both Jamwest and Island Lux have been falsely accused on TripAdvisor.

The picture of the white boat posted above does match the descriptions and is very similar to what we just saw here at Island Lux. The manager was explaining to us that all Island Lux boats can only be rented with a licensed captain at the helm. They have no two seater boats.

About twenty minutes ago we saw three boats speeding way out near the reef heading towards the HiLo area of the West End. The boats we saw go by just a few minutes ago were traveling in a straight line, steady but would be a stretch to call them "speeding". From an inside the boat perspective, less than 10 mph. But they were traveling between the Island Lux moored boats and the bouy lines. Way too close unless you are observing a "no wake" speed.

They did indeed continue north into Bloody Bay, but it was impossible to tell where they went from there.

It is clear though that no one is renting them on the Negril beach. They are coming from Bloody Bay or beyond.

The mystery of their origin continues...

if they let them ride them out by the reef and around Booby Cay they will be "paddle boats" soon enough

Uggghhh. I build boats for a living. Not what I want to see on vacation.
