Loved the trip report! I am from Texas also, I'm actually living in Leander now, for about 11 or 12 years... have been in the Atlanta airport smoke room, YIKERS.... I think they do it on purpose to keep people from staying in there too long. Absolutely no ventilation whatsoever. The Starbucks coffee I got was the strongest I've ever come across. I took one good drink of it & my eyes flew wide open & started rolling uncontrollably in my head, ended up pouring half out & replacing with hot water LOL! Indeed, to see actual rain YAH! To a Texan it is a magical substance indeed. Although the past week has been cloudy & drizzly here, but what has it produced... you guessed it, a ton of the most dreadful weeds I've ever come across. VERY much looking forward to my Negril Trip to get out of this awful weather
Another Texan! We almost bought a house in Leander but ended up buying in Pflugerville. I've found the best airport smoking sections ar St Louis and Tampa. It's such a rarity to find a smoking section in an airport anymore.

The Tampa 'cages' are the best!
Yes they are! St Louis is a close second (if they still exist, there were rumblings they were going to do away with them), indoors but awesome circulation, you could be right next to one and never smell smoke. Very crowded though. I wasnt even aware Atlanta had smoking sections, and I lived there and flew out of there many times.Originally Posted by N5_
Funny enough Jbizek, I live in Tampa and I didn't know WE had smoking sections....but oh yes, I am well aware of the ones in Atlanta...yikes that place! lol
That is funny Marley. The Tampa cages are well hidden, we're in Hudson Fl at least once a year visiting the grandparents. Tampa is a nice airport.

But yes, I never knew Tampa had a smoking section, but then again I am no longer a smoker....but I probably would have liked that information back when I was one! LOL
Oh yes we know Clearwater. It's really a cool area love Tarpon Springs ( I ADORE Greek food) and st Petersburg. We visited the new Dali Museam in December. We always enjoy The Tampa area, always stuff to do.
St. Louis is smoke free inside now....fyi
