Day 4 (Cont)
The driving was one of my favorite parts of this day. Wish I could have captured everything in photos, but they wouldn’t have done it any justice. Jamaica is so beautiful…the landscape, the people, the music…all of it. It’s just really special. The road leading to YS Falls I will never forget. Saw the most beautiful horse farm…spectacular horses. Different than most of the horses you see in Jamaica. They looked like Thoroughbreds to me…. I kinda have a thing for horses…so this farm along this lovely road under a canopy of trees was captivating. Like something out of my dreams. Then you’d start to see little streams of water and you know you’re close to the falls. I’m stoked, this been waiting for this all day.
When you see it, it sort of takes your breath away…it did mine anyways. Where I’m live, waterfalls aren’t something you see everyday...or ever really…nothing like that anyways. I swear it felt like any given second I’d see a unicorn or some fairies flying around. Just ridiculous how magical a place this is. lol There were people hanging out in the pool and taking pictures all along the path in front of the falls. Lots of little kids playing having a blast. I really wanted to go off the rope swing…and I did…about 10 times. Really wanted a picture of that and thought that guy took some, but when they emailed me the pics there were none of the rope swing. Baaahhh.

The water is cold, and rejuvenating. Very cool place, I do believe I’ll be back someday, or maybe check out some other falls in JA...anyways, I now know that I have a liking for waterfalls. There was a gift shop on the grounds and a place to grab a cold beer. Since those guys spent the majority of their time at YS taking pictures for us, we treated them to a round of red stripes…and my friend agreed to meet up for a drink later at Margaritaville.
It rained most of the way back... We stopped for the “peppered shrimp”. I had been looking forward to this stop, as I had heard that these are not to be missed, and that couldn’t be any truer. I get my bag of “shrimp”….and I’m pleasantly surprised to pull out the biggest crawfish I’ve ever seen. Ok, THAT’S whats up! Peppered just right. I wish I had taken a picture of these suckers…they were huge…bright red beautiful crawfish. Mmmm. The woman tells me…”just don’t let them touch your lips”. HA! I promise my lips will be alright, I got this under control. So yummy. Our next stop was on that curve where all the ladies sell their bammy, festival, escovitch fish, etc….got a bag of hot bammy. I LOVE bammy, let me tell you…BIG fan. Shared my “shrimps” and bammy with my new buddy, the driver whose name I do not remember….I do remember he wasn’t scared to suck the crawfish heads so we cool. lol Good times.

Stir IT UP
