The new Digicel LTE modems are fast!

For those who have friends in the Negril area or need fast internet connection in Negril, the new Digicel LTE modems are working in areas that previously had no broadband service! And it is fast!

It works anywhere that the new LTE cell signal works. The new modems are LTE and replace the old, non-LTE modems. I think we get our cell signal from the same tower, so it should work at your place as well!

Yes they do! They come pre-configured with the Digicel settings and LTE network passwords to access the broadband.

Rasta Animal or Rob,

I spend a lot of time in pretty remote mountainous regions of Westmoreland and St. Elizabeth and was wondering if you could clue me in to any problems with buying one in Negril and using it when I roam about Jamaica. Would you guys recommend this LTE modem or would I just be better using an existing phone as a hot spot? Any thoughts?

If your phone is LTE and you have an LTE chip, then the MiFI modem doesn't really offer any advantage.

You can buy the same plans on your phone as the modem...
