Can anyone speak from recent experience about the scene at The Jungle? Am going in July and as there don't seem to be too many places to hear/dance to dancehall I figured I would check it out. Thoughts? Experience?
Thank you!

OK thanks!
You will hear some of the best dance/dancehall music at the Jungle if that's your liking. Especially on the lower level which is the club scene. While it can be mad fun and a guarantee you’ll get your dance on, you will want to be just as vigilant there as you would in any US club. Maybe more so if it’s your first time.
Dont miss Ladies Night, Thursdays I believe.
I've been to Jungle recently a few times and I don't find they play much dancehall at all - more like regular dance music. There are different places around Negril that have live reggae music on different nights... Roots usually has music, Drifters does on certain days, Alfreds, Boat Bar (in season)... but dancehall is less common. Yard bar might be the closest to the dancehall experience that I've seen (but be careful!). When you're in Negril, ask around at your hotel (or a local guide) to find out where/when the music is that week.
TAH, The Yard is the new name of the resort that was named Seasplash before ( down kind of by Skylark. ).. Rudy, who use to bartend at Alfred's work there now.
jvkenya, I'm curious why you commented '' but be careful'' referring to the Yard ??
Jojo,
The new name, at least from last year, is the Yard House. I'm not sure that they are talking about the Yard House...
