Our Beloved Sadie has gone to Doggy Heaven

Our beloved Sadie has gone to doggy heaven, the cancer took her away.

They tried to save here yesterday but her spleen and liver were just too far gone. We brought her home last evening to say our goodbyes and let our other dog Pooh Bear also have his last night with her. My heart is broken and i have made a necklace with here dog tag to keep her close to my heart.

We held vigil with her all evening making sure she new we loved her so much and that this morning we were going to do the right thing and not let her suffer anymore.

We are headed to Negril on Thursday, we leave with heavy hearts but hope that being in a place we love with friends we love will help to heal our hearts. I know every year after a trip to Jamaica i return home with new found hope and outlook on life itself. We will need all of you to send your prayers.

I know she is in a better place and that our other beagle that passed 12 years ago will be at the gates of heaven to greet Sadie and show her the ropes of how heaven works. They can play togeather and keep each other company.

I prayed all evening for god to some how spare her and let us change souls and let me be the one he would take instead. At anytime I would gladly echange my life for that of my wife Mary or either of our dogs be it Sadie or Pooh Bear.

my heart is heavy but it will heal

It is with all my Love of Sadie and our friends who love Jamaica that i write this.

    Thanks for listening.

    Timm
I just read the update from Mary on facebook.
I am so sorry for your loss
My thoughts and prayers are with you both still.
I know how much our pets can touch our lives, steal our hearts and stay with us forever.
Hoping that you two can keep the memories of all of the laughs, licks, mischief, and love from Sadie to find comfort during this hard time....and hopefully some healing that will come from your trip to Jamaica.

    RIP Sadie

    RAINBOW BRIDGE

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies who has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

adding my heartfelt condolences. For many of us our pet(s) are family. If I could take my 50 lb "girl" with me when I travel I would--she behaves better than the grandkids.

I'm so sorry for your loss..
I looked over at our cats and I realized they are getting up there in the years. The thought of not having them in my life makes my heart heavy, so I can only imagine what you're going through.
It's so hard to lose a beloved pet because they become so much a part of your family and your life.
I'm hoping that your trip to Jamaica lifts your spirits and gives you peace.

So many thanks to everyone that understands just how much you can love a pet.

It is amazing how much love a pet can bring. They are so different than people, they do not care what you have, what color you are, they don't care it you have a modest little home or a mansion. All you have to do is show them love and respect and they will love you 10 fold with a unconditionally.

pets do not stab you in the back, talk bad about you when you are not around, they lust love you!!

It is one of the reasons I bring 10lbs of dog bones for all the poor dogs along the road. I wish i could do more for them.

Sadie was one of the bravest dogs to walk the earth, there was never a night for 10 years i did not get a good night kiss!!

Awww, so sorry, this made me cry. Beagles are so cute, and the softest ears. You know, I saw a beagle on the street the other day, and that is rare around here!
