I've always marveled at how amazing the bond between Dog and Man is. Your post brings to mind all the good dogs I've had.

We are so blessed that eons ago wild canis came near our campfires and somehow chose to become canis domestica.

For me there never will be another Jack, Rex, Black and Blue in JA or Bozo, Emmit, Calypso and Domino in the US.

But now there's Honey and Storm......

Sadie's gone but you'll find another...

Oh Timm - I am so sorry for your loss. I am glad you shared your feelings with us as we are family here and care about you. Thank you for posting photos. My heart is breaking for you. I had to put my pup to sleep after 15 yrs just 2 mths ago and I am still devastated so it will take time - so allow yourself that time. It is so hard to understand. Just know that you and yours are loved and I hope that brings some comfort. Peace be with you. Bless.

Your dog is in "beagle Heaven" and loving it! I lost my "besherd" (german shepherd/beagle mix) inJune. He was 19 and the love of my life. He loved vodka and ting LOL

Timm, I am so sorry for your loss, but God bless you for sharing so much love with Sadie. Based on your post I am sure she had a wonderful life filled with love.

It's absolutely one of the hardest decisions a person will ever make. Even now with years behind our loss, quite often I catch myself thinking about Rusty and how emotional we were on "that" day. I swore never again would I allow myself to have another pet and go thru those emotions.

But nearly 7 years later and 2 new "rescue" dogs that were about to be put down at shelters, a flood that wiped out our house this year and caused a temporary seperation, we are still together and looking back, I believe the dogs have rescued us much more than we ever rescued them.

Yes Timm I do know how you feel and thats why I can say with certainity you will see Sadie again and she loved you as much as you loved her.

Enjoy your trip / Negril has helped me thru a couple of losses over the last 14 years.
