Where to stay

Have lurked on this board for years and love it. I have stayed 5-6 times in Negril but always on beach. Have been going to Jamaica since early 90's but have been Ochi and MoBay person.

My friend and I are coming January 24-31 wanted to stay at Seastar but they had one room. Talking with Onestop and they have 2 oceanview rooms at Sunset on the Cliffs; I know nothing about this property. Has anyone ever stayed there? Would you recommend it?Any other suggestions?

try the Mirage Resort on the west end It is a small 12 bed room hotel with a fantastic panoramic view of the sea

What are your preferences? What is your budget? What are your must haves and won't stand for's?

My friend that is travelling with me now wants sea side, breakfast included if possible, but will deal if not, would like to stay under $800 for the week, must have a place where our friends can visit. Me, a red stripe, good jerk, music at night and I am good to go.
