On the way to Negril, I stop to change money and put money on my Digi Cell cell phone.

Once before, my phone worked after a long time.
This trip It did not.

"ID please " the lady said.
I have an old Drivers License I carry to Jamaica just for ID, but it is expired.
There is a hole punched in that means it is not valid.

"This is no good" she said.
But it's me, see my picture?

It does not matter.
We need a current ID for you to buy a Digi Cell SIM card.
So, I ran out to the car and grabbed my Passport.

A person must add money to it every 2-3 months.
or Something like that.
(you can do it on line from the States I am told)

Ok, So I bought a new SIM card, she put it in and I was happy.
Then I noticed that some of my numbers were saved to the old card and
some numbers were saved to the phone.

The nice lady in the hotel office took out my new SIM card,
and put in the old SIM card
so I could retrieve the numbers I needed.

A cell phone does come in handy.

Calling drivers, calling home or calling a new friend you meet.
