Hi shalon...Now, you are talking about Miss Sonia's restaurant? Miss Sonia is still around. I sat with her last week for a while. Nice chat. She reminisced about the "old days". She was grating coconut. I would assume she still makes patties from scratch. one love

Yes she is who I am talking about.Where is she located at these days? I know she has had to bounce around from place to place in years past.

I think her place is Morass side, next to Colletas?
Every time I pass, it looks deserted.

Old Table and chairs still set up.
I think I did see her in there once this pass trip.
If it is the same place, I do feel kind of sad.
I remember great stories about how she helped the community and the kids back in the day.

Yes, on the garden side, a few doors north of Alfred's. Last January the restaurant appeared to be doing well, with family members mostly running it at lunch time and Miss Sonia herself there for some dinner hours but not every day due to church and other community commitments. The place was decorated with white fabric curtains and lighting strands, and business seemed to be good. Her restaurant was significantly helped by the new sidewalk - instead of having to cross a dark ditch to get there from the road, the sidewalk now goes right past, and when we were there, many more people were stopping by to check the place out than in the several years before the sidewalk got there.

    I'll see in 2-1/2 weeks.

    Ok, I feel better,
Just never saw folks in there.
But, I pass by early in the morning for Breakfast.
    I'm Gone by 9:00.

Yes, I remember the white fabric curtain hanging.

    Thanks WRTiii
