    Motorcycle Rental

We like to rent a dirtbike style motorcycle for our trip. We have used Prento on the beach road and also the gentleman across from Blue Cave Castle in the past. Since we missed a year, I am wondering if either of these places are still open/good or if anyone has any suggestions for somewhere else we might try. Some people say we are nuts, but we realy enjoy the rides, especially into the moutains.

Try Banmark on the cliffs, just past archway pizza. They have new and used bikes, also provide money exchange services and I think they have a ATM machine. But the best part is that your credit card deposit is credited back to your account after you return your bike that day. I rented from Tykes not realizing they run your card for the deposit, not just hold your card number. Had to wait a couple of days for the deposit to be credited to my bank account, left me a little short. But I would still check out Tykes. Drive safe. Stay left.

Gas is next to the castle now and after renting from most everyone...he is the only person I will use. He will give you a free pickup and dropoff. NO HASSLE RENTALS >>>>> He doesnt make up scratches and damages like others do trying to get you to pay for sometime you didnt do. Gas very honest and reputable. Tell him Twister sent ya'!

Lots of places to rent a bike or scooter in Negril. It's always good to make note of scratches, tire condition, etc., on the rental contract to avoid misunderstandings later. Don't be afraid to negotiate on price if you are renting for a few days or more. You probably get a better deal if you go back to the same guy year after year too, say you've rented from him before, it's a good deal for both of you.
Gas is a good choice, I have rented from him several times, as I have with Prento.
Gas has moved across the street to the seaside beside Blue Cave Castle.
    Drive safely, enjoy the hills!

I've had good experiences with Tyke's and Jah B, Banmark has some really nice new big bikes.

Tyke's never held anything on my deposit. Did you use a debit card instead of credit card, maybe? Those can take time to clear, I've found.

I don't rent bikes but my good friend always rents while in Negril. He has rented from Gas for years and seems quite pleased.

Thanks for the input - we have never had a problem with extra charges and last time we used Gas (whose name I couldn't recall) we actually exchanged the first bike we had for a better one - no problem at all

I've rented a big bike (Honda Shadow) every year I go & I've been going there since 1988. I do business with Pento (1-876-412-8607) is his cell. I reserve a bike (with him directly) in advance...& never been dissapointed. I run to him during my stay at various West End resturants & he'll buy me dinner. I always stay in the West End. An alternative is Banmark (1-876-957-0197) in the West End. Norma Barrett is the manager there & i've considered doing business with her since it's 5 mins. away from where I stay & that's where I change all my money at. She wants my biz bad cause she knows I stay for 5weeks. If choose either one of them feel free to tell them Jack from Chicago sent you. I've land there 1/26/12 til 3/1/12.
