Another wonderful holiday in Negril in the books! Landed in MBJ on 12/22 . It was cloudy & raining, so we couldn’t see the beautiful Caribbean Sea. Breezed thru the airport with Club Mobay. I stopped at the duty free shop & picked up 2 bottles of Moët while my husband got the luggage. Traffic in Mobay wasn’t bad, but Lucea was a different story. Picked up a few patties at Juicy Patty in Lucea. Arrived at Charela around 2:30, dropped our bags and off to the beach. Sunset and beverages at Rondel with our friend and favorite bartender, Delroy!
Dinner at Chances. My husband said that they have the coldest beer on the beach...bottles are frosty! It rained throughout the night. Woke up to lots of seagrass on the beach in front of Charela. Leon and 2 helpers worked all day raking up the seagrass and digging a huge pit to bury it in.
The beach by Rondel passed Roots had big piles of seaweed with conch, starfish, sea urchins, and other sea life mixed in. Phew...stinky!
Rondel had a backhoe cleanup their beachfront Monday. Lots of people worked raking and digging along the beach for days. It took 4 days for the water to calm down & clear up.
Breakfast at Charela almost everyday. They serve fresh croissants on Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday...DELICIOUS!
Everyday was pretty much the same routine - breakfast, beach, massage from Sandra at Charela or Miss Pat by the Boat Bar, lunch on the beach from various vendors, sunset with Delroy, and dinner.
