    Cows Milk

I am bringing my two year old this reach. I never really paid any attention before, can you buy 2% milk at Valuemaster or Hi-Lo?

Has any one ever brought a two year old down? Any tips for me?

After I bought a quart jug of milk that turned out to be sour, a Jamaican friend advised me to buy the "box" milk. I believe that this milk is canned and will keep a long time without refrigeration.

Nestle box milk is available in every grocery store in the town, on the beach or in the west end... no worries. It's what I drink when I am in Jamaica. I bought jug milk once and it was sour. I never made that mistake after that...

There are 5 grocery stores in the town, a couple on the beach and 3 or 4 in the west end. No matter where you stay, you will have access to box milk. Enjoy!!!

Stop at Mega Mart in MoBay on your way thru. They always have it. It's called Serge Cows Milk and is in a light blue container (that's the 2%). The Hi-Lo in Negril hardly ever has it and when it does, I buy a case at a time. The 2% is the most comparable to what we're used to but a bit thicker. The whole milk reminds me of 1/2 and 1/2 cream. My kids won't even use it in cereal. lol

Thanks for your help. I knew I had seen it in boxes, and laughed about it. Now we have a toddler, and its not so funny anymore.

My next next buring question is: How do I get this child up and down the beach? Stroller wont work. Can't carry her for 10 miles. Maybe I can find an inflatable dingy and put her in it tow her in the water!

A jogging stroller works great on the beach along the water line. You will be very glad to have one. Bring one with a sun shade because little ones needs lots of shade and can get tired easily. A perfect place to catch a nap while the grown ups eat or have a drink. It's nice for a child to have a safe place to feel like they can get away from it all and have a cool, quiet place to chill, while the grown ups do all the walking. We used ours all the time when our kids were smaller : )

Great advice. I can leave it behind for some one that needs it.
