Wow, that's like over 9% cut. Official rate is 131J per dollar. That's pretty steep.

Fitzy, the official rate is 99 JMD per Canadian dollar. My experience has been that if you go to ScotiaBank ATM, you will get about 3% less than official rate, so you'll get about 96 J per CAD$$
mamade, i retrieved 300USD from an RBC in Canada billed at 409$ CAD = 1.363333 conversion rate last week (22 jan).
I find if you can get 90 + JMD$ or more per 1CAD$ it is worth it to just convert straight there, and then I base my whole weeks negotications and dealings on an almost 1CAD - 100JMD rate for easy and quick mental calculations.
