Hey,

Heading down to Negril soon. For airport transportation for a group of 6 what is a fair tip each way for the driver?

Also, while we are in Negril what would be a good tip each day for housekeeping?

We want to make sure we are being fair to those wonderful people helping to make our vacation great!

We use a driver we have known for years and I normally tip 20%. You should take into consideration the number of stops you’ll have your driver make on the way. We tip housekeeping $5 each day.

Seems Rumlover has the exact tipping habits I do. Along with the housekeeping tip, we usually leave a small gift. Hand cream and little things the ladies like but are hard to get (or too costly) in JA. We’ve even left an unused soccer ball for our favorite housekeepers little boy.

Alot of these women only make $40/week, so I tip at least $5/day...
