How much is a COLD Red Stripe? Sorry it is the only way I know how to compare prices.

And what's left of the flasks from opening night! Tito's Vodka anyone?

So really... what's the deal with that sushi? I can't for the life of me figure out what those rolls are supposed to be. Maybe it "looks nice" at a glance as some are saying, but take a close look - sushi doesn't look like that.
Personally, I would rather eat / drink / party on the beach, or on the cliffs with a view... and not in a shopping center... but I guess if the vibe is right?
Don't knock it 'til you try it...as the saying goes!
There's quite a few wonderful bars & restaurants on the morass side that shouldn't be missed...and this one "fits the bill" for those that ask for cold drinks, sports tv and A/C. They have an outdoor patio also.
I enjoy supporting new businesses...as it's never easy to open a restaurant anywhere but especially in Negril!!
Apparently sushi does look like that...

I'm not sure how an article that is really nothing more than an advertisement, that has no pictures, and then goes on to state inaccuracies, such as sushi containing tropical fruits, "proves" anything. No, that's not a real Japanese thing. Sure, it's a Jamaican interpretation... but it should not be confused with actual Japanese style sushi. The definition of sushi is vinegared rice with raw fish, or sometimes vegatables. Not fruit, not cooked fish, and definitely not chicken. If I ordered sushi and they brought me out a plate that looked like that pic... I would find it hilarious.
I get it. It's hard to open a restaurant anywhere, and in Negril, probably exponentially so. But... that's some odd looking sushi.
I wish them well. Looking forward to additional options to watch hockey next spring.

The article I linked is entitled "MATTHEW’S SUSHI BAR - Sushi is more than raw fish". which I felt summed up my post perfectly. Possibly you are confusing sushi with sashimi which is raw fish with rice.
