Anyone use this feature yet ????? If so how was it ????
Yes used it last week. Worked just fine. I had the paper versions in my pocket just in case. All the mini check points before customs asked for it and I told them I filled it out online and they passed me right through. They seemed to appreciate that we did it this way.
I filled it out today & tried to send it but it told me it couldn't ..told me to contact them...it might be because my travel isn't til late January..just thought I'd get it on file early...& no didn't contact them... don't really even see how there's not a number on the site so I'll wait
I just completed the on-line forms this morning for our October reach and I was informed that submission was successful.
I found it peculiar that the form asks for dates 3 different times and each one is in a different format. Also, even though the back of the written form only needs to be completed by one person in the traveling party, both sides needed completion on-line for both of us. Ahhhhh...... Jamaica.
I will report back after we go through immigration as to what happens when checking in with the Immigration Officer and the Customs Officer.
How early can you fill out this form? We are going Dec.
Here is how it went. We had our forms already filled in before we left for justin case. We used Club Mobay for arrival. The representative, Coreen, said that the on line system may take a little longer. We approached the immigrations officer with forms in hand. We informed her that we used the on line service. She said "oh"! She clicked a few keys and said, "Robert Eyermann?" I answered, truthfully, "Yes". She processed the info, stamped our passports, and we were on our way to duty-free.
It was a seemless process, so easy, even an Eyermann can do it!
Weathermon, what happened at Customs? You didn't need the paper form?
Aha, Kathryn, I forgot the Customs experience.
No problems or paper forms at Customs. We had nothing to declare. We informed the officer that we completed the forms on line, she asked for our passports, she went to her computer monitor, she typed on her keyboard, she returned our pssports to us and told us we were good to go.
Easy peasy.
