    You should check around. Last winter we found that the banks were consistently giving a better rate for CDN than any of the cambios.

    That still seems to be true. I just checked online, and FX Trader is giving $98.6 and NCB is giving $101.20.
    On the other hand, the cambios seem to have the better rates for USD.

    Just ordered mine on Wednesday from scotiabank 100 Ja =97.73

    I never buy it here at home. I always take some Jamaican dollars home so that on my return I have enough for a few days. The rates in Jamaica are much better than here.

    Yes that’s correct. Almost .98
    So 100j is .98, 500j is 4.90, 1000j is 9.80 etc.

    So the cash rate at these bank sites looks significantly lower then the cheques rate. Is the cambio similar? I’ll be back in Negril for the first time in 3 years November 29th. Figured I would just pop by the cambio near the roundabout en route to the Seastar. Is that my best bet? (USD)
