So the cash rate at these bank sites looks significantly lower then the cheques rate. Is the cambio similar? I’ll be back in Negril for the first time in 3 years November 29th. Figured I would just pop by the cambio near the roundabout en route to the Seastar. Is that my best bet? (USD)

Unless you have a business, the only rate to think about is the BUY rate.

I suppose you could write a check, but it would take 28 days to clear....

If you always want the best exchange rate possible, use the ATM.

Yes that’s correct. Almost .98
So 100j is .98, 500j is 4.90, 1000j is 9.80 etc.

The Cnd ATM rate this weekend is 106/107 to 1, depending on the bank.
