I am reminded of the scene in Canadian Bacon where he is driving to Toronto a truck with "**** Canada" painted on the side. The police stop him and ... (we are expecting arrest or scolding at least) ... politely ask him to translate it into French.

I wouldn't be so quick to surmise that. There have been similiar incidents in the past here in Canada where the court has ordered compensation be paid to the airline by the person convicted of causing the incident.
