    Best boutique - thoughts

Hi: We've been to the Montego Bay side but are looking for a good boutique resort on the Negril Side.

We are looking to go for 2 weeks in January.

Here are some of our wishes and wondering if anyone who has been there can give good feedback. We really aren't into the fanciness of a Sandals. We've done those and although they are good, we are definitely more boutique kinds of travellers.

    1. All inclusive - this is a must
    2. Adults only - this is a want, not a deal breaker
    3. Beachfront walkouts - this is a want, not a deal breaker
    4. Love to snorkel at resort if possible
    5. Safe in room - don't they all have them now? I have read that some don't. Odd in today's day and age.
    6. We love ALL kinds of food so Jamaican food is welcome as is others. We love good food. Not necessarily looking for just American style.

Any advice would be sincerely appreciated. Thanks!

Couples Swept Away, but I wouldn't call it a "boutique" hotel, it's a large all inclusive property. I think of boutique as a smaller more intimate property.

You might like to check out Sunset at the Palms, it sounds exactly what you want.

I would recommend a split, a week on the beach and a week in the cliffs. Beach for snorkelling, not so good, but cliff side can be pretty amazing. I would recommend the Rockhouse in the cliffs for a week, and Sunset at the Palms looks lovely, never stayed there. All inclusive can be limiting with all of the great places to eat around Negril. You would miss out on some really great dining for sure. Most places offer a fridge so mix and small items can be kept cold, or they will run a tab that you can pay daily or upon leaving. Just a thought.
