Cash is King of course...never feel a gift is better or should replace cash (general comment)...but if you feel the need to bring a gift also...something simple like higher end chocolates or nuts...most everything is available here now.
I am told they cannot get good chocolate in Jamaica. I always take some Hersheys miniatures and various Dove chocolate - always appreciated!
Earrings or any jewllery and books for the girls and Jackknives or those 18 in 1 tools for the guys plus 4 bucks per day.
It’s like when you hit your teens and all you wanted from your folks on xmas or birthdays was cash so you could go buy the things “you” wanted rather than the lame out of fashion things your parents thought you wanted....
Cash tips are always best. For the locals I see year after I bring them good old Canadian maple syrup...
