New Covid19 rules through April 21st

    From RJR news:

The government has announced revised curfew and stay-at-home orders.

The curfew order will be from 8 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday, April 9.

It will continue on Thursday, April 9 at 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Friday, April 10.

Over the Easter weekend - from Friday, April 10 to Monday, April 13 - the curfew will run from 3 p.m. to 7 a.m. daily.

On Tuesday, April 14, the curfew will end at 7 a.m.

Thereafter, the curfew will be relaxed, starting 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Tuesday April 14 to April 21.

    Stay at home

The revised stay-at-home orders require that all persons 70 years and older stay home. They may leave once per day only for necessities.

Others who must stay home are persons who are ill with respiratory or flu-like symptoms and persons with pre-existing conditions.

    Masks

Beginning today, April 8 to April 21, the following persons will be required to wear a mask:

    1. Persons ill with flu-like or respiratory symptoms

    2. Persons caring for someone at home with flu-like or respiratory illnesses

    3. Persons over 65 years old

    4. Persons with pre-existing conditions.

Prime Minister Holness also said the government "strongly recommended" that all persons wear a mask in public spaces, such as when taking public transportation, going to the market, as well as supermarkets.

    Markets

Markets will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Holy Thursday.

On Saturday, April 11, markets should open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Markets and market districts will be closed on Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.

They will revert to their regular schedule after the Easter weekend, with hours from Monday to Wednesday 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Thursday to Saturday 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Mr. Holness also announced that all beaches will be closed for the Easter weekend - Good Friday to Easter Monday.

I've been told this is not blasphemous. This is Chicago's mayor Lori Lightfoot. Her likeness from the press conference locking down Illinois is making the rounds here.

My best wishes of peace and hope to all at what should be the most peaceful and hopeful time of year.

Holness is weighing the economy vs the safety of the people.

His argument is that on Easter Weekend it is time to spend time with your family. A time to reflect. Not a time to party on the beach as usual.

Gatherings would get out of hand by the shear numbers, as I posted on the 2nd:
