Well usually I do a trip down in April, May or Sept but obviuosly I nixed those ideas. So I added a week to my 'after Thanksgiving trip' to give myself 17 days (always at White Sands). I have the American Airline credit card and I have about 18,000 miles on it. I was checking out the AA website and found that they have a website special going now and I was able to book my flight down for 13,000 miles +$49 for taxes (usually about 25,000 for a normal early morning flight). The only caveat is that you can't change the dates but you can cancel and get the miles back! So at least if I lose my vacation time to the pandemic, I won't lose anything...

LOL. I'm thinking doing the same. Nov 21 till December 12. It depends on if my week in July trip gets cancelled. Time will tell.

That's good, the sooner, the better. I booked my original 10 days when I left there in Dec and added another week a month ago. My gut tells me that if things clear up by the end of summer, early fall, there'll be a rush to book and that Oct and Nov will be busier than usual (especially at White Sands, with it's more affordable costs) since alot of people missed out on their late winter/early spring trips this year.
