In 1982 I landed in Ochie with a bunch of Amway people and fell in love with the country….
for years I would travel back to Jamaica as well as visit just about every country in the Caribbean plus Latin and Mexico……looking for another Jamaica…..lol
1995 I found this site and met Rob when he was at Tigress and the Thatch Hut bar in Negril…….
About a year later I married a Jamaican(SeaStar Inn Francines cousin) and inherited her family and spent a lot of time in Jamaica living among Jamaicans which is what happens and why mi Patwa comes out sometimes…
1997 started building the cottage at end the end of SeaStar Inn Lane which mi brother in law still lives in….
I have traveled a lot over the years however for the last 8 years Jamaica see’s mi the most as I have two Jamaica places not including mi old cottage …. being prudent by keeping my ties to the USA especially for health care these days….mi not a fan of the Sav Hospital at all
Right now and probably for the next year or two it will be a very difficult time for Jamaica…..there will always be hurricanes, diseases, murders, suicides, etc so Jamaica will adjust will come through this in good time
If people would adhere to avoiding the 3 C’s like Japan did successfully ( Closed Spaces, Crowed Places,Close Contact) wi will all come out of this pandemic fine..
wi all love Jamaica and want the best for it's people and businesses etc....
So do what you can for Jamaica…….take trips, tours, shop, go to the beach, eat out, have drinks, and tip the locals etc when you feel comfortable about traveling again…..Jamaica isn’t going any place….lol
mi really do enjoy promoting Negril and it’s businesses
Guess mi an unique individual as I look at Jamaican situations/things from a Jamaican and an American perspective…
