Clear as mud. This makes it sound like like the stay-in-zone order is actually a stay-on-property order.
After leading the world in response to the virus. Jamaica is now trading increased infections for tourist dollars.

The J$10,000 unemployed workers received lasted maybe a day or two. Some have been out of work for 4 months.
Everyone single Jamaican knew there would be an increase in the infection rate. Only those with the money to outlast the pandemic complained. 350,000 people need to work.

25% of Jamaica's workforce is in travel and tourism. These people need to work to survive. They are not getting much assistance from the government. The borders have to remain open. We are going to have to learn how to live with Covid. Jamaica has to find protocol that will work for visitors and citizens alike and to clearly communicate the policy so that everyone understands what is expected. IMO WM
All it’s going to take is one hospitality worker to be exposed to an asymptomatic tourist and then go to one of the now permitted parties and you’ll have another hot spot.

And we handled a major hotspot at a call center, hundreds infected. The government has been managing those.
The contact tracing here has been very effective.

So Rob, if nothing were to change when I come down in Nov, with what I read, I'd have to stay on the White Sands property for 14 days (I'm there for 17 days) but wouldn't be isolated to just my room but the whole property? Also, does this rule change if I bring down results of a negative covid test from the US (I'm in NY, so it seems that I'll need to take the test within 10 days before arriving)?
BTW, 2 weeks on WS property is still better than 2 weeks in Buffalo in early December.. lol. As long as I'm not just stuck in my room...
