Ironically enough I have been saying the same thing since they re-opened the airport. I have even passed on my personal opinion and viewpoint to tourist industry players trying to convey to them how tourists think and for them to implore the government to modify/clarify/publicize what the actual rules are.
However, it is my belief that the Jamaican government is well aware of the confusion and contradiction but are trying to have their cake and eat it too. In other words they want to appease their constituents by having what appear to be strict protocols in place while advertising to the paying tourist that all is well, come on down and have a good time. To clarify what I am referring to- visitors being screened etc etc and then going to their resort in the COVID Resilient Corridor does somewhat infer that you will be free to move around in the Resilient Corridor, NOT be limited to the physical boundaries of your resort.
I am sincerely concerned for the upcoming tourist season if they don't get this straightened out.
