I'm sorry Rob. It's not fair that you have to be to "goto person" when it comes to defining what the latest government order is. I'd wait for the booklet "Jamaica Disaster Risk Management for Dummies" but I'm afraid I can't wait that long.
No where in that act do I see that a previous Covid test is required only for the American hot spot States.
5.—(1) This paragraph applies in respect of a person—
(a) who is not ordinarily resident in Jamaica;
(b) who at any time during the period from August 1, 2020, to September
30, 2020, seeks to enter Jamaica as a tourist; and
(c) whose intended abode or place of residence in Jamaica is at a place
within the area of the Resilient Corridor described in the Second
Schedule.
From the way I read that, everyone entering Jamaica as a tourist will have to have a test at least 10 days prior. The only other question I have is, this order doesn't touch on private vehicles. It mentions travel within the resilient zone;
(c) shall only travel on transportation licensed under the Tourist Board
Act.
Which I take as not to travel in an unlicensed, non-red plate taxi, but can I drive my own vehicle??
