To my knowledge the little shop you you mentioned inside the shopping center is still there. There is another place on the right side of the beach road headin towards town. Sorry I forgot the name of it (reggae something) but it is after Bourban Beach and before the beach park. The shop doesnt look like much but a rastaman cooks ital inside his house which is right behind the shop for take out or he actually has some tables/chairs there in the yard if you want to stay. If you go by there, you might have to ask someone to get the rastaman for you in case he is in the house and not at the shop. Also, as mentioned Ras Rody on the west end has great Ital. One good thing is that fruits are plentiful!!!! I personally dont consider fish Ital but if you eat fish, there is plenty of that around.

It's true, all places will tell you "yes, yes we will do an Ital plate for you, no problem mon" but every restuarant will just serve you steamed cabbage with rice-n-peas - it gets old quick. A good hot ital meal is hard to find in negril and I soooo miss Royal Kitchen!
