    Cool Old Bar-B-Barn

Bar B Barn is where I stayed on my first solo trip to Negril.
    Circa 1998.
That was back when I called 1-800-Jamaica.
Received my vouchers in the mail.
1 for flight, 1 for transport to Negril and 1 for the Hotel.

Then , right across the road, Morass side, I stayed at the Coral Seas Garden for the next 10 years or so.
after 4 or 5 years, Ricky and the crew told me I was no longer a tourist.
"you are a local now. You can pay local rates!
So my trips stretched from 6 days to 9-10 days!

But, BBB was my beach hangout.
Someone took over Bar B Barn a while back.
Also, next door on the beach was Mom's Place.
Cool little hotel and restaurant. Can't wait to see what's open and running.

    Re: Old Bar-B-Barn

My swiss friend Yves and I were walking down the beach being accosted as usual and came across Bar b Barn. We stopped in our tracks, stepping over hard bodies everywhere.
    Yves say, “we stay here”
    Ok.

We went back to our hotel and packed up, moved to Barb b barn. Spent the next three days in visual heaven. Nice plain rooms with window ac’s as i remember. Then as abruptly as we arrived, the place emptied out, like Widener College called all back to class. I laughed my ass off and said to Yves lets pack up and go back down the beach.
Death does not concern us., because as long as we exist, death is not here. And once it does come, we no longer exist.
