    Kingston 62 is the new name for the old Appleton Special (same great taste, new annoying label) and best for mixing with just about anything.

    Be careful when purchasing the higher end Appleton, the bottles are deceptively similar, be sure to READ the label. Prices are very different.

    On a side note, for Vodka drinkers give Worthy Estates Rum Bar Vodka a try. Cheaper and smoother than Smirnoff...

    How about Appleton 50 year Independence reserve. A mere 6,000 US. Only 800 bottles were made

    They won't be using any mixers with that! I'd chill the entire bottle not to even dilute it with ice.

    I’ve had a couple bottles of the 21 year old very very good but for the money 12 year all the way( I’m sipping on it now) ( grin)

    I actually suggested, encouraged , begged and finally persuaded a local watering hole in the middle of not much Illinois to carry it , I consider myself a lucky man.

    See if you can find yourself a bottle of Zafra 21 year. It's made in Panama and runs me about $45 in NYC. Well worth the $ and typically my go to drink.
