rjonsun, i started in 74 so a bit behind you. knew grandma porter. as you faced Porters house we stayed to the right and down the driveway. uncle dan and ms Pernell Mosely. their son Dalton was still around in those days causing havoc . many others we both would have known .

Oh yes, I remember Mortimer! Those photos are just as I remember.
And some people called her Grand Mom Johnson, some Grand Mom Porter. Jim and I got to see her and daughter Jenny a while before she passed in 2007. When we first arrived Jenny was a young teenager and would bring our food to the cottage. I understand she also passed a few years ago.

One more thing. Jim passed into eternity on January 29, 2020 after a long battle with cancer.

i recognize the road in the picture if you went to the right instead of walking up the road is where we stayed with the Mosely family. they are still there of caused and have built a nice home in a "gated" community

Jim was the fellow that I first traveled to Jamaica with in 1972. We grew up on the same street and were life long friends. We later traveled to Colombia, South America where, believe it or not, joined a circus.
