jsully,
The photo that you refer was taken closer to 1980. I believe, but could be mistaken, that the Villas Negril were constructed in or about 1975 or 76. My first visit to Negril in April 75 I do not remember the Villas being finished.

Re: Old Negril Photos
I’m ****ing up. I write some stuff, add some photos, then post, but only the photos show up.
I posted the recent Testosterone test results to show that smoking ganja not only does not kill you, it also does not lower your testosterone levels either.
Where’s the best spots for a dirty old man to find a funky venue full of honkytonk women who love to dance to reggae in August?

Yes piggy,
You look like life has been pretty good to you all things considered. Seeing those old Negril photos brings back some really great memories and I'm certain that we must have crossed paths in JA at some point in time.
Unlike back in the day I don't know how many single female tourists end up in Negril currently. Do you remember the disco in the Villas Plaza called the "Soon Come". What a prophecy!!
American (and Canadian) chicks down on their own looking for some "Good old times while on vacation" were fun to party with. I used to bring a blue Coleman cooler and a kitchen blender on my trips down so with ice, rum and fruit juices I had a non stop Daiquiri bar in my room. Always ice cold Red Stripes and plenty of Appleton!!
Many fond memories!!
