There is a naming scheme for the old pages. When you click on Previous, notice the end of the URL and the date on the page.
If you are in 1999, there will be a 99 near the end of the URL address. Edit the address to 98, hit enter and you are now one year earlier. But I do recommend hitting the Previous button. There are some amazing things that appeared on those old pages.
We don't get anything at all from anyone clicking through the old pages, no ad money, no increased traffic (its on a separate domain). There is no incentive to tell you to do this, but it is a daily diary of what was happening over 20 years ago. As you noticed it can be fun to check out.
Speaking of Rasta John, I saw him last month sitting on a bench outside the new HiLo. He has more hair than me, but it has grayed equally. We spent so much time together all those years ago, we are like brothers. We gave each other a smile and a head nod, and that was it. No words were necessary.
