Ha, define "safe."Walking to Xtabi and Canoe are both reasonable walks from HSH. There are a handful of spots along the way in both directions.
Safe is walking single file, FACING TRAFFIC, day or night. At night don't wear dark clothing. A flashlight is not a bad idea.
At a narrow spot with cars approaching you from both directions, stop walking and get close to the property wall.
Pretty much common sense ideas. You will be fine. Hundreds of thousands of visitors walk without issue every year.
