    Hotel suggestions required

Hi Guys, was hoping somebody could offer me a deal or make some suggestions of where to stay. I am coming on the 19th December for 3 weeks.

The third week is already booked at Home Sweet Home so I am looking for two weeks on the beach preferably within walking distance of Best in the West, so probably look from Beachcomber down to Rondell Village.

Pool and Kitchenette are essential. I booked the day before last year and got a great deal at CCLP which has unfortunately probably clouded my judgement somewhat as I am looking for a similar price.

    Any help is much appreciated.

Could you let me know how you like Home Sweet Home as this will be our first time on the cliffs and we booked ten nights there in late February. Would really appreciate any information on the resort and rooms.
    Thanks
    Nick

the easiest week to book would have been your third week since there is a lull in Negril the beginning of January......
try NegrilOneStop.com and see what Bob and Susan can come up for you.........
but those two weeks in December on the beach are very, very pricey weeks in Negril........
you might want to see what Home Sweet Home has for your first two weeks........
but maybe they are booked and that is why you are looking?
even Caribbean Sunset that is a purely budget hotel is trying to get $92 a night in December........ugh
I'd check with smaller places that kinda fly under the radar on the web........
and most anything on the Cliffs will be cheaper than the beach........
I know someone who just got a room a Bar B Barn at a very reasonable price for that time of year.......
lets us know how you are making out.......

Marko, thank you for your comments. I have taken on board what you have said with regard to smaller less known properties.

With this in mind does anyone have any info or experience of staying at Mariposa?

Haven't stayed there but it's a very nice place and right next door to the Boat Bar and Rondel Resort is two doors down.

We stayed at Mariposa feb-march, and plan on returning, walked to Best in West for nite cap everyday. I like the fact my wife Karen could go to bed, and i could slip next door to Tonys hut for another round or two and still be in shouting distance of my sleeping beauty. You are in the middle of all the action, but Mariposa itself is rather quiet and peaceful, best of both worlds. Cheers!

Size: 90.3 KBno pool but steps to from the water, we really liked the fresh fruit and smokes delivered to our doorstep, coffe from our pot, and cold red stripes right out of my frig. Lots of loungers and tables to enjoy my morning coffee, and watch the world go by, while Karen was only steps away getting ready after a swim
