Yes, the ever changing lockdowns were brutal and the inflation wasn't and still isn't fun. Living here daily was very strange during Covid.
But seeing as the bad roads and garbage collection were discussed at the first Chamber meeting I attended in 1998, Covid and the recent Chinese debt are new problems, but not the reason for the issues Brownsd54 mentioned.
There are major infrastructure plans underway so money doesn't seem to be the issue. A road ringing the island will be amazing!

The reasons for Brownd54's feelings are complex, long standing and have some basis in the way that the eastern part of the island (Kingston) views the west (Negril).
