Where to Stay

Hello all; We are planning a late March, early April trip. Likely 10 days. We are looking at options. Our last four trips were at Skylark. Before that Country Country, Treehouse, Whitesands, a few places on the cliffs and way back the all inclusive places. We thought we had found “our place” at Skylark but last year the vibe seemed different. Busier, more families and not as laid back. Might have just been the week but we thought we may explore a new option and looking for opinions. We like quiet, comfortable, great staff and a good restaurant. From experience, and reviews, we are considering, back to County County, Sandy Haven, Charlea, and/or Blue Skies. Would love Idle Awhile but already booked. Looking for feedback on these places and any other recommendations you may have. No cliffs please. We love the cliffs but during the day/evening, not to stay. TIA.

Of the ones you mentioned I'd pick Charlea or Blue Skies. Charlea's restaurant is very nice and an gives a Caribbean elegance feel. Nice spot on the beach. I have not stayed at Blue Skies but I've been on the property and it's very nice. It however isn't always quiet because they do events at their bar some days/nights. It's a very nice upscale place though.

I think Nirvana fits all the bill. The staff is excellent. It’s laid back. Best section of beach & great bars & food in either direction.

We just stayed at Charela and had a good time. A laid back place with a great beach, great location.

Have you talked directly with Idle Awhile. They work hard to figure out a way to find you a room. We have room hopped in the past. The property is worth a little afternoon resettling. Charela would be the next choice. Have you looked into White Sands. Good luck. Peace
