Thanks everyone, we sure did love Portie Laurel...beauty around every corner. I loved the historical culture, the laid back vibe and the pristine beaches.

On our drive down the coast, we were so excited to get on the road that we forgot to go into to town and get some money. It always seems an issue to get money in Jamaica...they want you to spend it, but the irony is...We all have a hard time getting it! lol

We decided to stop in at our hotel on the way to town...regroup, do banking and then head to Frenchman's Cove for lunch, which actually was just down the road.

What a gorgeous spot this is. The waves had been high and the sea angry for the past couple of days....but it was still gorgeous. I have only seen photos of the Cove when it looked still like a sheet of glass....but it was far from calm on this day.

dang so geejam was a kind of bust
at their prices they probably don't have enough visitors to get feedback on the food
and knowing you - you can put together a mean meal

The cove was a small area with a restaurant and great service. As soon as we arrived we had lounge chairs and a table delivered to our chosen spot. We went up and put in our order for drinks and food. In a few minutes our drinks were delivered to us on our loungers.

Hubby ordered the barbecue chicken with fries....oh why do I so love fries in JA....lol

I wanted breaded fish... ( snapper or grouper...can't remember ) but it came with rice and peas, pasta salad coleslaw and callalloo and it was scrumptous. We shared as it was far too much for me. Hubby and I lazed around happily drinking and eating at Frenchman's Cove watching all the people...

In front of us were a couple of young girls, Europeans I believe and they were with a large group who sat farther back. The two ladies were posing for their gentleman friend, and I can never pass up the oportunity for a photoshoot....whether they knew it or not!

After lunch I walked over to the other side of the beach where the river feed into the sea. The water was a gorgeous aqua green colour and felt like a wading pool...cool and refreshing. I saw a couple by the swing, playing in the water and I chatted with them for a bit. I learned that they had traveled from Sweden for their first time....got a car and were traveling the island How adventurous they were and actually a very good looking young couple.

Of course, I asked them to embrace for a photo...and they obliged with sweet smiles
