No potable water in negril hill areas.

Anybody have any info on what is going on in the hillside residences surrounding negril. There hasn't been portable water in the Tank Hill area since December 30th. I have a friend that stays for 6 months in a seven unit apartment building at the top of Tank Hill and she hasn't had potable water in her building since December 30th. The landlord refuses to pay for water from the trucks that go by, to fill his tanks on the roof. and just supplies bottles from the river to flush her toilet. Unacceptable and disgusting. But the hotels and restaurants have plenty and never go without. Just curious if anybody has any insight into this.

    Wilky,

The Tank Hill area is called the Tank Hill area because of the water supply tank at the top of the hill. This tank serves the entire area including Whitehall Phase 3.

I have called friends in the area and they have been receiving water. Sometimes the pressure is low but there is water all over the Tank Hill Area.

This sounds like an issue between your friend and her landlord. There are times when hotels and restaurants and even residents need to purchase water from trucks. Why they are refusing to buy water from the trucks makes no sense.

Plus if the water is truly off, NWC should and will pay from truck delivery, the landlord would only pay for the water. Something is up.

And only pay the same rate for the water, no delivery charge.
